How sensitive are our parties to maritime issues? This autumn, Germany will elect its 20th Bundestag and it has become a tradition for us to look at the parties' election manifestos and their maritime content! We started the series with the election programme of the Free Democrats (FDP), in this article we look at the programme of the Social Democrats (SPD) for the coming legislative period. This will be followed by the position papers of the Greens and the Christian Democrats (CDU/CSU); last but not least, we will take a close look at the parties' key issues in the Wahl-O-Mat at the beginning of September.
