King Sekhukhune I: Commissioning at the Cape of Good Hope
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) can significantly rejuvenate the coastal defence forces of the South African Navy (SAN) with the commissioning of its first MMIPV (Multi-Mission Inshore Patrol Vessel) named "King Sekhukhune I". Only three of the new "Warrior" class vessels with the distinctive sea-axe bow, built according to the STAN-Patrol 6211 Damen design at the Dutch branch in Cape Town, are to be built in the end, after six boats were initially calculated as the capability requirement.
