Bremen march

Why is marching a topic for a maritime forum? Well, firstly, it's about the cooperation between active and reserve service personnel - and there are also comrades in blue cloth, and secondly, Bremen is a state on the coast! This is the eighth time that the Bremen state command and the Bremen regional group of the Association of German Armed Forces Reservists (VdRBw) have organised the "Bremen March". Nevertheless, this is no reason not to use the new edition of Top Gun as PR for the naval aviators. The pilots and crews of the naval aircraft are the heroes and heroines in reality, not in Cinemascope...

A new future for the sea battalion?

The close cooperation between the German naval battalion and the Dutch Mariniers Corps requires extensive adjustments. This affects all areas, from training to equipment. Qua patet orbis (Latin: as far as the world extends) is the motto of the Dutch Corps Mariniers, which was established on 10 December 1665. This traditional branch of the Royal Netherlands Navy is the spearhead of the country's crisis response forces and claims to be able to be deployed anywhere and under any circumstances. There has been plenty of evidence of this since the Corps Mariniers was founded. Access marineforum digital+ Are you already a registered user? Now...
