Frankreich übernimmt SNMCMG 2

Zum ersten Mal hat Frankreich das Kommando über einen den vier ständigen maritimen Einsatzverbände der NATO übernommen. Während einer teilweise virtuellen Zeremonie übertrug der Stellvertretende Kommandeur des NATO Maritime Commands, Vizeadmiral Didier Piaton, das Kommando über die Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 2 (SNMCMG 2) an Commander Gregory Guiran. Varuna 2021 ended

Incident in the Persian Gulf

Another incident has occurred in the Persian Gulf. On Monday, speedboats belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards approached two American ships to within around 60 metres. US Coast Guard in the Black Sea

The United States has deployed a Coast Guard cutter to the Black Sea. The USCG Hamilton is the first US Coast Guard vessel to enter the inland sea since 2008.
