Krasnoyarsk launched
The Russian nuclear submarine Krasnoyarsk was launched today (30 July) in a festive ceremony. Guests at the Sevmash shipyard on this occasion included the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Antolyevich Evmenov, and the Governor of the Arkhangelsk region, Alexander Tsybulsky. The submarine was first pulled out of the construction hall at a speed of around one metre per minute. Ivan Artyushin, Captain 2nd Rank and commander of the Krasnoyarsk, smashed a bottle of Crimean champagne on the rudder of the new warship on the way.
