After Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited the aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth yesterday, the Queen herself came on board just a few hours before departure. She was received by the commander of UK Carrier Strike Group 21, Commodore Steve Moorhouse, and the commanding officer of the Queen Elizabeth, Captain Angus Essenhigh. Last weekend, the future USS Carl M. Levin was handed over to her future element at Bath Iron Works. It was quietly docked in the Kennebec River, a good 100 kilometres north of Boston.
