Kölle Alaaf for the corvette "Köln"

The sixth Köln: A special day that the naval enthusiasts of the cathedral city and the "Freundeskreis Marineschiffe Köln" had been longing for: on 21 April, the sixth Köln officially received her name. However, the corvette is even more eagerly awaited in the navy, as the orders and missions are extensive and increasing. The welcoming speeches by the guests of honour followed at 10.30 am. Speaking on behalf of ARGE 130 was Tim Wagner, CEO of NVL B.V. & Co. KG, the company managing the project together with thyssenkrupp Marine Systems GmbH and GERMAN NAVAL YARDS KIEL GmbH, and the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Defence, Siemtje...

Ukraine - Psychological warfare with stamps

It's just a blue and yellow stamp, but it's going viral - online and on auction platforms. The first few days have passed since it went on sale in Ukrainian post offices and demand is understandably high. The nominal value of the stamp is completely irrelevant: on the relevant platforms, the "postage stamps", which are certainly limited in number, reach prices of over a hundred euros each and up to 500 euros for a block of six stamps. Russian fleet movements in the Baltic Sea

The Steregushiy-class corvettes RFS "Stoykiy" (545) and RFS "Soobrazitelny" (531), as well as the seagoing tug RFS Viktor "Konetskiy" returned to Baltiysk from the Skagerrak on 15 April 2022. Whether the background to the relocation of the landing ship is a shipyard stay at the Yantar shipyard or the loading or unloading of weapons and equipment is speculation. Possibly...

Black Sea Fleet up to date

As if the question of the remaining threat potential and the whereabouts of the assembled Russian naval forces had arisen simultaneously here and there after the fire/sinking of the "Moskva", the Ukrainian news portal "Ukrainskaya Pravda" published the answer from Kiev's perspective at midday on Thursday, 14 April 2022. It is short and sweet: 56 launch silos for cruise missiles remain south of Ukraine! The potential This is still an unchanged overpowering potential for destruction, as the "Moskva" is known to have had no land target capabilities on board. It is also not known how many Kalibr reloads of the emptied Black Sea launch silos are available in the Russian Federation, or how many have already been transferred to reserve and reserve storage for reloading.

Cold Response: Berlin back home

On Thursday, 14 April 2022 at 10 a.m., the Einsatzgruppenversorger (EGV) "Berlin" sailed into its home port of Wilhelmshaven. The "Berlin" was part of the multinational Cold Response exercise, where around 30,000 soldiers from 27 nations with 50 ships and boats as well as 200 aircraft practised the defence and military reinforcement of Norway until the beginning of April. There is no connection with the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. "Even under the most adverse climatic conditions that we were confronted with there, we were able to send a strong signal of cohesion together with the other NATO partners," said Commander "Berlin", Frigate Captain Stefan Klatt...
