Rohde & Schwarz Emirates will equip the ships with NAVICS, an integrated, IP-based and fail-safe naval communications system that supports interoperability within the Gulf Cooperation Council. NAVICS will complement the existing external Line-of-Sight (VHF/UHF) and Beyond-Line-of-Sight (HF) communication solutions. In addition to external communication, NAVICS also ensures internal communication on board and guarantees a multi-level security architecture that enables secure, trustworthy and tamper-proof communication.
