Die griechische Marine hat den ersten überarbeiteten Helikopter des Typs S-70B in Empfang genommen. Für die kleine Zeremonie waren der Botschafter der USA in Griechenland, Geoffrey Pyatt, Generalstabschef Konstantinos Floros und Marinestabschef Stylianos Petrakis angereist. Bei der Firma Aeroservices werden die elf Maschinen des Typs umfangreichen Wartungs- und Modernisierungsarbeiten unterzogen. Derzeit haben bereits die Arbeiten an der zweiten Einheit begonnen. This Refuelling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) is scheduled about halfway through the planned service life of an aircraft carrier to make it fit for the next decades. The most important part of the work is the renewal of the fuel rods in the on-board reactor. This requires the reactor to be shut down and cooled down. The Minister responsible for the Canadian Coast Guard, Bernadette Jordan, has announced that her country will acquire two new icebreakers as part of the National Shipbuilding Strategy. They will replace the largest icebreaker currently in service, the CCGS Louis S. St-Laurent, when it is retired as planned in 2030. The new ships will also give the coastguard new capabilities, as the future units will be larger and more powerful than their predecessors. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) participated in the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) exercise "Unmanned Integrated Battle Problem" (UxS IBP 21) from 21 to 26 April 2021. This exercise integrated manned and unmanned capabilities in challenging operational scenarios in order to gain experience for mission command.
