Royal Navy sends two patrol boats to Jersey

A further dispute is brewing between the UK and France after Brexit. French fishermen do not want to comply with the British government's stipulation that only vessels that have a proven history of fishing in the waters around Jersey are allowed to do so. To express their displeasure, around 100 fishing boats on the French side are ready to set off for Jersey on Thursday. Their destination is the harbour of St Helier, which is not to be blockaded. Corona times friendly

Different rules obviously apply at sea: The Berlin boarding team has had positive experiences with corona. However, it was not the omnipresent virus, but a merchant ship with the contemporary name Corona J. The situation is serious

VSM calls for fundamental restructuring of the framework conditions and a European maritime growth agenda As in the previous year, the press conference of the German Shipbuilding and Ocean Industries Association (VSM) took place digitally on 4 May. The guests were welcomed by Harald Fassmer, VSM President and Managing Director of Fr. Fassmer GmbH & Co. KG. He emphasised that in addition to all the positive news, which can also be read in the current annual report, the pandemic has hit the industry hard. He cited the Flensburg shipyard, Nobiskrug and the Meyer Werft plan as examples. He pointed to the 20,000 direct and around 200,000 indirect jobs...
