On the way to the world's largest maritime manoeuvre
German naval vessels enter the port of San Diego On 11 June 2024, the frigate FGS "Baden-Württemberg" and the task force provider FGS "Frankfurt am Main" entered the port of San Diego under the command of the commander of the task force, Flotilla Admiral Axel Schulz (53). They are on their way to "Rim of the Pacific" (RIMPAC), the largest international maritime exercise in the world. Both ships are part of the German Navy's Indo-Pacific Deployment (IPD) 2024.
