The "Gorch Fock" on a training voyage: The German Navy's training sailing ship began its 182nd training voyage abroad today. P-8A Poseidon Germany: First aircraft completed

The P-8A Poseidon Deutschland becomes reality! Boeing has completed the first aircraft for the German Navy. It will be stationed in Nordholz and replace the outdated P-3C Orion. The first of eight P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) ordered for the German Navy has been completed at aircraft manufacturer Boeing in Seattle. The aircraft bears the identification 63+01 and was painted in the colours of the naval aviators. Swearing-in ceremony in Bremerhaven

Swearing-in ceremony and solemn pledge at the Naval Operations School On Thursday, 6 February 2025, at 5 p.m., 175 soldiers will take their solemn pledge at the Naval Operations School. The commanding officer, Captain Andreas Seidl, will administer the oath to the recruits. They will publicly pledge their loyalty to the Federal Republic of Germany and undertake to bravely defend the law and freedom of the German people. The recruits include 74 regular soldiers and 101 volunteers doing military service. Numerous guests are also expected to attend, including Dr Eva Högl, Parliamentary Commissioner for the Armed Forces, as well as representatives from politics, business and the public sector.

Frigate 127 - first study funded

The federal government has not yet placed the order for the construction of the new F127 anti-aircraft frigates, but the Defence and Budget Committees have nevertheless approved the first funds.
