Aircraft carrier supplied!

What a day at sea for the German Navy! The task force supply ship "Frankfurt am Main" supplied the Italian Navy's aircraft carrier "Cavour" with fuel. It was spectacular, as the navy announced on "X". The RAS (Replenishment at Sea) was a perfect symphony of German precision and Italian flair in the Pacific, they reported with pride. For the Indo-Pacific task force, the journey continues after the port call in Tokyo. There was no further information about the reason for the pit stop in Yokusuka, the base of the JPN Navy and 7th US Fleet. Participation in the NOBLE RAVEN manoeuvre is now on the...

The German public must accept that there are limits to transparency, even for their own safety. The findings are now being extensively analysed, both technically, tactically and in terms of personnel. The man most in demand during the operation was nevertheless available to marineforum. Mr Kübsch, our deep respect for you and your crew! How many interviews have you already given...

Tender "Werra" to the NATO organisation

Tender "Werra" has left its home port of Kiel. Over the next six months, the tender, which is part of the support squadron, will provide the German contribution to one of NATO's permanent formations, the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG 1), for the North and Baltic Seas. The "Werra" will thus replace the tender "Donau", which returned home at the beginning of July, by the end of the year. For Corvette Captain Marina Diebelt (34), it is the first major voyage in her role as commander of the "Werra": "It is always a great pleasure to be able to sail in a convoy. The international co-operation is in many respects...

Baden-Württemberg and Frankfurt am Main in RIMPAC

What is it all about? The world's largest maritime manoeuvre, Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024, began these days in the sea area around Hawaii, with Germany participating with an air force contingent, a naval task force and personnel in the international staff. German participation is not only an expression of German foreign and security policy, it is also more than just maintaining and deepening partnerships with other armed forces and regional organisations: Through it, Germany engages in strategic communication, expresses its interest in contributing to the maintenance of the rules-based international order and asserts its relevance. RIMPAC takes place every two years as a multinational manoeuvre...
