Ein Verzicht der Fähigkeiten zur Seeraumüberwachung würde zu einem massiven Verlust in einem eigenständigen Lageanalyse führen. Hinzu kommt die seitens der NATO hochpriorisierte Fähigkeit zur U-Boot-Jagd, welche Deutschlands Beitrag zum Schutz der Seeverbindungswege deutlich stärkt. FGS Berlin supplies Spanish frigates
