Congressional report: Replacement for US Navy cruisers and destroyers

DDG(X) Future Large Surface Combatant Programme: Background and Issues for Congress. The Congressional Research Service report was submitted to Congress on 13 January 2021. This is the procurement programme for the next generation of guided-missile destroyers (DDGs) to replace the TICONDEROGA (CG-47)-class Aegis cruisers and the older ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG-51)-class Aegis destroyers. The delivery consists of the ship automation (IPMS) and condition monitoring system (CMS) components. Russian naval manoeuvres in the Mediterranean - and worldwide
