Shipping journeys through the Suez Canal are to become more expensive. The operators have announced that the price of transits will increase from February 2022. The F-35s are to work together with the air forces of Oman and the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf. The HMS Queen Elisabeth encountered the Shabab Oman II, the sail training ship of the Oman Navy. The sailing vessel has been part of the permanent training programme for Omani cadets since 2014, was built in Romania and fitted out in the Netherlands (Damen Shipyards).
