Now the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) has created facts. A contract worth 44 million euros has been signed with Atlas Elektronik for the procurement of additional command and weapon deployment systems for the minehunting boats. The minehunting boats DILLINGEN, HOMBURG, SULZBACH-ROSENBERG, FULDA and WEILHEIM of the Frankenthal class (MJ332) will be equipped with the latest version of the IMCMS (Integrated Mine Countermeasures System) command and weapon deployment system between 2022 and 2025.

Von den baugleichen Booten werden vier Stück an Norwegen und zwei an Deutschland geliefert. Der Vertrag hat einen Wert von 5,5 Milliarden Euro und ist der größte Auftrag, den die Kieler Werft je an Land ziehen konnte. Neue Betriebsstoffversorger unter Vertrag
Die Bremer Friedrich Lürssen Werft wurde mit dem Bau der beiden neuen Betriebsstofftransporter für die Deutsche Marine beauftragt. Die neuen Einheiten, Klassenbezeichnung 707, sollen die in die Jahre gekommenen „Rhön“ und „Spessart“ ab 2024 ersetzen. Lürssen gibt an, beim Bau mit der Meyer Werft zusammenzuarbeiten. Die Rostocker Neptun Werft soll den Löwenanteil des Programms tragen. Die zukünftigen schwimmenden Tankstellen der Marine heben sich sowohl optisch als auch im Leistungsvermögen deutlich von ihren Vorgängern „Rhön“ und „Spessart“ (Klasse 704) ab.
