Vom 11. bis 13. Mai besuchen zwei Schiffe der russischen Pazifikflotte Singapur. In der Changi Naval Base haben der Zerstörer Admiral Tributs und der Hochseeschlepper Kalar festgemacht, um die Vorräte aufzufüllen. Die Tributs ist ein Zerstörer des Projekts 1155 (Udaloy I). Bei 163 Meter Länge verdrängt sie 6840 Tonnen. Zur Besatzung gehören knapp 300 Soldaten. Bewaffnet ist die Tributs mit zwei 100-Millimeter-Bordkanonen sowie jeweils 8 SS-N-14 Silex und SA-N-9 Kinschal. Am 10. Mai führten See- und Seeluftkriegsmittel der EU, Japans und Djiboutis eine gemeinsame Übung im Golf von Aden durch. Zugrunde lag das Szenario einer Anti-Piraterie-Operation. Beteiligt waren die italienische Fregatte „Carabiniere“, zurzeit Flaggschiff der Operation Atalanta, der Zerstörer „Setogiri“ der japanischen maritimen Selbstverteidigungskräfte (JMSDF), ein spanischer Seefernaufklärer P 3-M, Patrouillenboote der Küstenwache Djiboutis sowie Führungsstrukturen der Marine des afrikanischen Staates. Der Übung mit ihren ungefähr zwanzig Stunden Dauer ist ein eher demonstrativer Charakter zuzumessen. Das geht uns alle an! Aufruf zur Unterstützung des Deutschen Marinebund Das Marine-Ehrenmal Laboe ist in die Jahre gekommen und eine gründliche Sanierung, auch aus Sicherheitsgründen, unabdingbar. Insgesamt 4,6 Millionen € sind aufzubringen, um die notwendigen Arbeiten ausführen zu können. Der Bund wird 2,25 Millionen Euro übernehmen, das Land Schleswig-Holstein wird 460.000 Euro beisteuern und der Deutsche Marinebund selbst wird 800.000 Euro aufbringen. The Australian shipyard Austal has handed over what is now the tenth Guardian-class patrol boat to the country's Ministry of Defence. In a small ceremony, the boat was then immediately handed over to the Solomon Islands, an island nation in the South Pacific. The Guardian class has a length of 39.5 metres and is based on the designs of the Bay, Armidale and Cape classes. As part of the Pacific Patrol Boat Replacement Program, a total of 21 boats will be built in Australia and donated to friendly neighbours in the region.
