Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) will collaborate with Fincantieri on the conceptual design of the new CVX aircraft carrier for the South Korean Navy. The agreement now signed provides for the development of the basic design for the type ship from the second half of 2021, while detailed design and construction are to begin in the following years. In the presence of Defence Minister Ajay Kumar, the Indian Coast Guard took delivery of the first three ALH Mk-III helicopters from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). A total of 16 of the twin-engine machines with modern avionics and electronics were ordered. The Mk-III is an Indian in-house development with which the country is endeavouring to become more independent of foreign countries in the technology sector.
