Changes to the Executive Board of the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany

The members of the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN) have re-elected individual positions on the Executive Board. The election took place as part of the general meeting on 12 June 2024 in Bremen, and Prof. Bastian Gruschka from Bremen University of Applied Sciences and blueMEC GmbH was re-elected as Chairman. The MCN members elected Kerstin Broocks, Guideline GmbH, as the second chairperson. She previously served as an assessor on the MCN board. German naval vessels enter the port of San Diego On 11 June 2024, the frigate FGS "Baden-Württemberg" and the task force provider FGS "Frankfurt am Main" entered the port of San Diego under the command of the commander of the task force, Flotilla Admiral Axel Schulz (53). IMO: New rules for lost containers

The amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) adopted in May 2024 provide for mandatory reporting of all containers lost at sea. It is due to come into force on 1 January 2026 and will improve maritime safety and environmental protection. For the first time, clear provisions will be laid down, both for the ship's command and for the speed of reporting. At the beginning of June, as every year on Armed Forces Day, the doors of selected branches and units of the armed forces are opened. Interested and well-meaning people were able to familiarise themselves with the versatility of all branches of the armed forces. A varied programme with numerous information stands took place at the Warnemünde naval base. Farewell on Armed Forces Day

Impressions of the Bundeswehr Day in Warnemünde Corvette Ludwigshafen is on its way to the Mediterranean. Farewell by Parliamentary State Secretary Siemtje Möller.
