North Sea - E-charging station for ships in test operation

The Belgian offshore wind farm operator Parkwind recently began testing a charging station for ships, which is connected to its own wind farm "Nobelwind" via a transformer station. The electricity is supplied by 50 wind turbines installed 47 kilometres off the coast of Belgium. The technology developed by British company MJR automatically connects and disconnects ships to the charging station, according to MJR, a UK-based specialist engineering company for electrical energy and automation systems. Update: London-Wilhelmshaven: First German-British electricity project

Work has begun on the 2.8 billion euro project to build and lay the first electricity cable between the UK and Germany. This will connect two of Europe's largest energy markets for the first time, also a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Oslo: New database for seabed minerals

The Norwegian Offshore Directorate (NOD) has signed a memorandum of understanding for co-operation with Denmark and Greenland to collect new data on seabed minerals.
