Rostock - From 20 to 28 January 2024, the German Navy will be exhibiting at the world's largest and most important international boat show, the "boot" in Düsseldorf. It will include a sailing cutter, a team of mine divers showing how they work in a diving tower and members of the German Navy's Special Forces Command (KSM).
In daily demonstrations, interested parties can observe the work under water, visit the cutter and get in touch with the servicemen and women of the German Navy. At the navy stand, all visitors will be given an insight into the maritime world of the German naval forces. The KSM recruitment team will also be providing information about career and employment opportunities, including in the special unit from Eckernförde.
Throughout Germany, the navy is on the move at a wide variety of trade fairs and events throughout the year, even in the southernmost regions of Germany. There, marines tend to be seen as exotic, as the navy's harbours, bases and training facilities are naturally located exclusively along the North Sea and Baltic coasts in the federal states of Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Due to the distance from the coast, the naval forces are often much less visible inland.

As an integral part of the German Armed Forces, the German Navy stands up for the interests of German citizens at sea around the world. Keyword: supply chains and free sea trade routes. The Navy is therefore particularly keen to present itself in these regions in order to counteract "friendly disinterest".
