boot Düsseldorf had to take a forced break for three years due to the coronavirus. This year's success of the world's largest indoor water sports trade fair shows that the water sports industry was not in the doldrums during this time, but rather got a real boost. The organisers draw a positive balance after nine days of the trade fair - and we from marineforum were also at boot Düsseldorf for the first time and very successfully.
Innovations and trends in the water sports industry
The crises have not harmed the water sports industry - quite the opposite. The industry has received a strong boost and has also developed positively thanks to new innovations. These innovations in the industry characterised the face of boot Düsseldorf. This year, the 16 exhibition halls also focussed on modern technologies, new boats and accessories. However, there was also a strong focus on sustainability, individuality and new sports trends such as wingfoiling and folding boats. More than 230,000 international visitors came to see the wide range of products on offer from over 1,500 exhibitors.
Growing interest in the military-maritime world
We at marineforum are also feeling the great interest in the maritime world. #meerverstehen was at boot Düsseldorf for the first time and met with an interested audience. With more than 70,000 readers a month and a growing number of subscribers, we are a firm favourite among specialist publications. Both in our monthly magazine and on our online portal, which we have been operating for over two years, as well as on our social media channels, we succeed in mixing tradition and the latest news with news, images, reports and podcasts from the military-maritime world. Unlike the industry's major trade journals, we focus on topics such as security policy, navies and maritime security and close an important knowledge and information gap here.
Networking at boot Düsseldorf
We see ourselves as a network - and boot Düsseldorf was all about networking. Over the course of the trade fair, we had many intensive and informative discussions with interested trade readers as well as exhibitors and companies. We look forward to further discussions and co-operations. Because one thing is clear: anyone who places content in marineforum or on marineforum.online will attract the attention of decision-makers, experts and water sports enthusiasts.
