The second Kiel Munition Clearance Week (KMCW25) will take place in Kiel from 18 to 20 June 2025. It will bring together international stakeholders to comprehensively analyse progress, innovations and future challenges in dealing with munitions waste in the sea. The Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of the Environment is organising the event together with the Kiel-based technology company north.io. There are over 100,000 tonnes of munitions from the world wars off the coast of Schleswig-Holstein - including aerial bombs, grenades and sea mines.
