The photos of the new Ladies ASD 3010 ICE -class multifunctional tug LNS "Lokys" (H 24) for the Lithuanian Navy was built on the delivery voyage from Rotterdam to Klaipeda on 4 May 2025 in the Kiel Canal. On Monday 12 May, nine months after the contract was signed, the christening ceremony for the Lithuanian Navy's new multi-purpose tug took place at the Klaipėda cruise terminal. The tug has also been developed for use in non-ice-free waters. The "Lokys" has a length of 30 metres, a bollard pull of almost 60 tonnes and a maximum speed of around 13 knots. The working deck is variable.
The ceremony was attended by Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Defence Karolis Aleksa; General Raimundas Vaikšnoras; Admiral Giedrius Premeneckas and the Mayor of Klaipėda, Arvydas Vaitkus. The godmother was Ilona Vaitkienė, the mayor's wife. The minister said: "The geographical location of the port of Klaipėda and its importance both economically and for national security are immense. That is why we must devote the necessary attention and resources to the Lithuanian Armed Forces. We clearly see and understand the threats, which is why we will continue to develop and expand our maritime capabilities. The new construction of the multi-purpose tug H24 is just one example of this."
The procurement of "Lokys" is an expansion of the capabilities of the Lithuanian Navy. This includes host nation support, harbour security and fleet support.
