Another incident in the Strait of Hormuz

Another incident occurred in the Strait of Hormuz this Monday evening (10 May). Thirteen Iranian Revolutionary Guards speedboats approached an American naval convoy passing through the Strait at high speed. The ships included the strategic nuclear submarine USS Georgia the Ohio-class and the Ticonderoga-Cruiser Monterey. Despite signals from the ship's siren and repeated requests to turn away by radio and loudspeaker, the boats came within 140 metres of the ships. Only after a US Coast Guard cutter, who was also part of the group, fired two volleys totalling 30 shots did the boats turn and move away again. According to the Pentagon, there were no casualties in the incident.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards have made similar approaches to US warships several times in recent months.

  1. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards provoke until a commander loses his nerve and deliberately opens fire. Perhaps this is what the Revolutionary Guards and the hardliners in Iran want. He who plays with fire will perish in it, as the old saying goes.

It is enough that Iran supplies Hamas in Palestine with weapons!
