Indo-Pacific Association ends participation in UN sanctions monitoring

The two ships of the German Indo-Pacific Deployment 2024 monitored the United Nations sanctions against North Korea's nuclear and missile armament together with multinational partners from mid-August to mid-September 2024. The participants in this cooperation contribute to the situation picture of the Pacific Security Maritime Exchange. The frigate "Baden-Württemberg" and the task force provider "Frankfurt am Main" acted as the "eyes and ears" of the United Nations and collected information on illegal ship transhipments on the high seas. They forwarded information about suspicious activities and offences to the Enforcement Coordination Cell, where the data is collected and analysed. The association is now continuing its route.
