Minister visits Mission Flotilla 2

Today, Defence Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer visited the Operational Flotilla 2 in Wilhelmshaven.

After being welcomed by the commander of the German Navy's major organisation, Flotilla Admiral Ralf Kuchler, the minister was informed about the current infrastructure measures, such as the northern and western extensions and the renovation of the eastern pier. The Minister then boarded the frigate "Sachsen-Anhalt", the German Navy's newest warship, where she was given an insight into the diverse uses of this modern weapon system. In addition to management talks, the Minister also took the opportunity to talk to the men and women of Operational Flotilla 2.
