Numerous conversions turned a merchant ship into a floating operations centre. The OCEAN TRADER is used by the American special forces to support their worldwide operations.

The ship was built in 2011 as CRAGSIDE at Odense Staalskibsværft for Maersk. The US Navy agreed a long-term lease with Maersk in 2013
