Visit from the Bundeswehr's highest ranking soldier: Inspector General Carsten Breuer will be present

On Saturday, 28 June 2025, the Bundeswehr in Stralsund will open its doors to all interested parties! From 10:00 to 17:00, the Naval Technology School (MTS) in Parow is once again inviting you to a special day after a six-year break - under the nationwide motto "We are here".
This year, the event will take place in a central location on the historic harbour island in Stralsund, right in the heart of the Hanseatic city. Visitors can expect a varied programme offering exciting insights into training, technology and everyday life in the armed forces. On this day, Armed Forces Day offers a unique opportunity to experience modern military training at first hand.
Demonstrations, exhibits and presentations from all branches of the armed forces!
The soldiers take centre stage, ready for personal discussions. A special highlight is the swearing-in ceremony and the ceremonial swearing-in of the recruits of the MTS on the Alter Markt - a moving moment that shows that the Bundeswehr is firmly rooted in society. The Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, General Carsten Breuer, will also be on site and give a speech at the swearing-in ceremony. He will then sign the Golden Book of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund. Furthermore, the exhibiting units will also have the opportunity to exchange a few words with the highest military officer of the Bundeswehr.
"We invite all members of the public to come and talk to us, experience our technology and get to know our motivation," says Captain Matthias Braband, Commandant of the Naval Technology School.
