On 30 April 2026, the swearing-in ceremony and ceremonial pledge of the recruits of the Wilhelmshaven Protection Company took place on the town hall square in Wilhelmshaven, where around 50 young soldiers took their oath or pledge and publicly affirmed their desire to serve the Federal Republic of Germany faithfully.

The commander of the Wilhelmshaven Naval Base Command, frigate captain Sebastian Uhle, thus performed the first pledge in his still young term of office. „A
Such a stylish event is, on the one hand, an expression of the active growth of the Navy and, on the other hand, a visible expression of the Bundeswehr and civil society.
The ceremony on the town hall square is attended by numerous guests and emphasises the social significance of this solemn event and the esteem in which the young soldiers are held." Once again, Wilhelmshaven's Lord Mayor Carsten Feist did not miss the opportunity to attend the ceremony.

to give the speech. The parent with the longest journey was honoured. The musical entertainment was provided by the Wilhelmshaven Naval Music Corps under the direction of frigate captain Matthias Prock.
