Saab and ESG aim to cooperate on naval projects

In September, Anders Sjöberg, Managing Director of Saab Deutschland GmbH, and Christoph Otten, CEO of ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, signed an agreement on strategic cooperation between the two companies on equipment projects and development programmes for the German Navy. In order to ensure the capabilities required for the successful fulfilment of the German Navy's mission, operational, robust and resilient naval systems are needed. High-tech solutions and comprehensive technical and logistical support throughout the entire service life must be guaranteed in view of the increasingly complex and challenging security situation.

"Together, Saab and ESG can offer the German Navy the full range of capabilities for the integration of command and weapon systems. From operational requirements to the management of system-related complexity. The aim of the strategic co-operation is to ensure that the Navy's naval and airborne systems continue to have the technology, equipment and services for long-term and sustainable operations. In this way, we want to support the operational availability of the Navy in the long term," said Anders Sjöberg at the signing of the MoU.
