Swearing-in and ceremonial oath at the Naval Operations School

On Thursday, 6 February 2025, at 5 p.m., 175 servicewomen and men will take their ceremonial oath at the Naval Operations School. The commander, Captain at sea Andreas Seidlwill administer the oath to the recruits. They will publicly declare their loyalty to the Federal Republic of Germany and pledge to bravely defend the law and freedom of the German people.

The recruits include 74 regular soldiers and 101 volunteers doing military service. Numerous guests are also expected, including the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Armed Forces, Dr Eva Höglas well as representatives from politics, business and public life from the district Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven and Geestland.

The festive musical accompaniment is provided by the Army Music Corps Hanover under the direction of Sergeant Major Müller.
